Charlie Bassetts faced their bogey team Sudbury at Blythe Bridge and as always made it hard work after injuries and unavailability to a number of players saw only 6 players involved from the previous week. Sudbury took the lead from the penalty spot after George Attu had a caused problems and was fouled which saw Josh Beardsley step up and put enough power into score despite Brad Cummings get a hand to it. Half time saw a change of tactics but Sudbury made it 2-0 after good work once again from Attu saw the ball find Kevin Mamombe.
Bassetts reduced the deficit through veteran Chris Lockett and got an equaliser from Callum Stockbridge. A game of two halves where both sides could have had taken advantage if they had converted their chances Sudbury in the first and Charlie’s in the second.
